The Commission has the authority to determine whether an entity is subject to the State Government Ethics Act, and does so utilizing non-exclusive criteria.

The Commission identifies and publishes a listing of all boards to which the State Government Ethics Act applies and a listing of the names and positions of all individuals who are covered persons or legislative employees.

State agencies and boards are required to periodically update the Commission as new covered persons are hired and appointed to covered boards.
